Rebuilding Shelf Presence for a D2C Skincare Line

Minimalist skincare product packaging arranged on a neutral background

The challenge

The brand had built a loyal online following but its visual identity hadn't kept pace as it moved into offline retail — the packaging read as a small online-only label next to established shelf competitors, and there was no consistent system to guide new SKUs. Buyers at two retail chains had flagged the packaging as a barrier to listing approval.

Our approach

We rebuilt the identity from the logo mark up — a new wordmark, a modular packaging system that could scale across a growing SKU range, and a brand guideline document covering color, typography, and photography direction. Packaging was designed to work at both shelf distance and in product photography for the existing D2C site.

Outcomes
  • Secured retail listing approval at both chains within one review cycle
  • Packaging redesign rolled out across 14 SKUs in 6 weeks
  • 20% increase in average order value after the online store adopted the new visual system
